Principal's Welcome

On behalf of Numurkah Secondary College it gives me great pleasure to welcome our current parents and students, together with potential new families who will be joining us in the future.

Our College provides access to secondary education at the highest level for Numurkah and surrounding districts. The College is set in attractive grounds and boasts excellent facilities to deliver a comprehensive curriculum. Our already outstanding resources saw the addition of a fantastic senior study centre in 2009 and we are currently working with architects to develop plans for a $ 1.4 million dollar upgrade to our technology building as a result of our successful Trade Training Centre funding application.

At Numurkah Secondary College we are small enough to care for and pay close attention to the individual, yet big enough to offer a diverse range of pathways, programs and facilities. Our curriculum and teaching strategies are aimed at providing students with a positive, confident attitude to learning, to assist them in identifying choices available in achieving the pathway to their preferred future.

We have an extensive ‘Student Well-being’ structure throughout the school and our staff apply a restorative approach on a daily basis. This involves maintaining a focus on building positive relationships and establishing a supportive environment that is fair and consistent. This enables us to effectively monitor and support students at all levels of the college in regard to their individual and collective welfare needs.

I am proud to be the leader of a college with an outstanding staff who provide excellent programs for our students.
